What is Air Duct Cleaning All About?

  • living in a healthier environment
  • saving on heating and air conditioning costs
  • saving on the maintenance costs of your HVAC system

Our service covers a complete cleaning, servicing, and inspection of the furnace and includes:

  • Where possible, we remove, clean, and reinstall the blower
  • Clean the interior of the furnace
  • Clean the heat exchanger and flues
  • Lubricate parts (where necessary)
  • Clean pilot and burners
  • Check chimney for obstuctions
  • Inspect furnace for cracks or holes that would represent health hazard
  • Inspect all vent pipes for rusted out areas (includes gas water heater vent pipe)
  • On high efficiency furnaces the recapture coils are cleaned.  Dirty recapture coils will contribute to lower efficiency rates.  Not all of the services outlined above can be performed on the higher efficiency furnaces.

All supply and return air ductwork is cleaned using pneumatic suction and compressed air.  If your system is equipped with central air conditioning, the air conditioning evaporator coil will be cleaned.  Some cleaning establishments will clean only the top side of the air conditioning evaporator coil to remove the debris deposited as a result of cleaning the ductwork.  Dyna-Vac, however, cleans all surfaces of the evaporator coil, and we pay particular attention to the underside of the coil where the dust laden air enters.  For an additional fee, usually $25.00, we will also wash the outside condensing unit of your air conditioning system.  If the units are severly plugged with debris or located in spots that make cleaning very difficult, the charge will be adjusted accordingly.
